News and Announcements Posted on November 24, 2025

BIL airport logo The Yellowstone Art Museum (YAM) and Billings Logan International Airport (BIL) are honored to present Starlight on Snowdrifts. This juried exhibition features artwork from around the state of Montana. Centering on themes of inspiration and wonder, which is reflected in the vibrant colors and diverse subject matter.

The artists featured in this show are all Montana based makers from various disciplines and points in their careers. Their work serves as a beacon to show visitors to our state the exciting and unique creative culture found here. It also serves as a reminder to those of us that call this place home. Arts and culture not only provide inspiration and hope; they also incubate ingenuity and willpower. In the world of artistic expression, we find true freedom and thus find the essence of what it means to be human. Together, we hope that these artists and their work give you pause as you travel and allow you to consider the range of approaches, themes, and techniques present in contemporary art practices.

We thank our jurors for this exhibition:

  • Lucy Realbird (Apsáalooke) from the Hardin K–12 Education System
  • Dr. Ingrid Asplund from Rocky Mountain College
  • Dr. Brian Leahy from Montana State University Billings
